In an effort towards puting smile to the Faces of Widows and less privileged in the Nigerian Police Force, Police officers Wife's Association,(POWA) have Empower no few than 250 Widows and wife's of Jonour Police officers in Kaduna.
The National President of the Association Hajiya Ruqayya Usman Baba Alkali said the gusture is aim of eliviating suffering being encouter especially when they lose their Husbands.
Hajiya Baba Alkali, represented by Wife of AIG Sunusi Buba ,Dr Fadimatu Sunusi Buba, said the POWA president have so far visit 16 States, Kaduna been the 17 State,in his gusture.
"We are giving them Equipment that includes Hair dressing Machine, Grading Machine, POP Corn Machine, Sewing machine,and Cottons of Food items,such as Rice, Spaghetti, Noodles, Oils, Maize and so on,in order to make use for their Families.
Dr Fadimatu Buba, further said "the aim of this Empowerment is to assist them with the means of livelihood so that they can continue their normal live,that is why we initiate this Program,you can see that we are giving them equipment for doing business, so that they can stand on their Feet.
Hajiya Sunusi Buba, explain that since the Inspector General of Police come to power he come is three agenda that have so far been carrying to the Police officers,this includes Health, Education and empowerment.
The POWA President adding that Health is one of the best thing to look on, because if you are not healthy as Police officer you cannot discharged your duty.Education is the key to every thing is this life without education nothing meaningful,so education first, also Empowerment is among the thing we gave priority attention, especially to Widows inorder to eliviatiate their suffering she added.
Dr, Fadimatu Buba, therefore call on the beneficiaries not to sell the equipment but to use it to generate incomes,in order not to really on their relations, because we believe with this you can stand on my feet, she conclude.
Some of the beneficiaries,Mrs,Patience Adams,and Maria Matthew,said the gusture will go a long way in eliviatiatin their suffering, calling on the POWA President to sustain the gusture.
