Nigeria's trio of Ese Ukpeseraye, Mary Samuel and Treasure Coxson made the podium finish in women's category of 2023 Osagyefo Criterium which held at the Accra Sports Stadium in Ghana.
Ukpeseraye took her counterparts for a ride and rounded up the 77km/15 laps race in a time of 2:15:17 to secure the first spot and cart away 10,000 Ghanaian Cedi cash prize (N667,875).
The back-to-back winner and Paris 2024 Olympic Games bound cyclist also improved on her time as she cut down the time she recorded in 2022 (02:31:09) by one-quarter of a minute to set a new championship time..
The duo of Samuel and Coxson placed second and third in a similar time of 2:23:55 to grab GHC 5,000 and GHC 3,000 respectively.
In men's category, Nigeria's Abdul Malik Yusuf Alhassan settled for second spot (GHC 7,000) after clocking a time of 3:19:36 to finish behind Ghana's Joseph Zubil who won the 129.5km/25 laps race in a split second (2:19:35).
