The nomination of General Christopher Musa as Nigeria's Defence Minister has been welcomed by the Executive Chairman of Zangon Kataf Local Government Council, Engineer Joseph Bege Gaiya.
He describes the appointment as commendable given General Musa's vast experience in security matters.
Engineer Gaiya believes President Ahmed Bola Tinubu made an excellent choice, considering General Musa's capacity to address the insecurity plating the northern region.
He notes that the Defence Minister has the challenging task of overcoming the long-standing insecurity issues in the region and is confident that General Musa is up for the challenge.
The Executive Chairman also commends Kaduna State Governor, Malam Uba Sani, for maintaining a cordial relationship with President Tinubu, which has helped Kaduna State gain a good reputation and participation at the federal level.
Engineer Gaiya emphasizes that ensuring proper security is a collective responsibility, requiring everyone to contribute their quota towards achieving a safe and secure country.
He prays that General Musa's emergence will bring a positive change to Nigeria's security sector, restoring peace and security in the country.
