Over one thousand residents of Kaduna North Local Government Area have benefited from an ongoing empowerment programme initiated by the Honorary Special Adviser to the Kaduna State Governor on Humanitarian Affairs, Alhaji Ibrahim Rilwan Muhammad. The initiative is aimed at supporting vulnerable groups and complementing the poverty alleviation efforts of Governor Uba Sani’s administration across the state.
The empowerment programme covers enrolment into the Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Scheme, skills acquisition training, distribution of fertilizer, as well as cash and food items. In total, one thousand and forty beneficiaries were reached across various communities within the local government. The intervention is designed to improve access to healthcare, enhance economic productivity, and provide immediate relief to struggling households.
Speaking during the flag off ceremony, the Chairman of Kaduna North Local Government, Muhammad Gambo Zion, commended Alhaji Ibrahim Rilwan Muhammad for the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful. He called on other well meaning individuals from the area to support similar initiatives, stressing that government alone cannot meet all the needs of the people.
Some of the beneficiaries, who expressed gratitude for the support, said the programme would significantly ease their hardship and help them take meaningful steps towards economic stability and self reliance. They praised the initiative as a practical response to the challenges of poverty at the grassroots level.
