Residents of Kaduna metropolis have described the current power outage as unfortunate and called on the distribution company to as a matter of urgency to address the lingering issue in order to help businesses stay afloat.
Business owners and households within the Kaduna metropolis have continue to grumble over epileptic power supply that is recently being experienced.
The situation has no doubt forced many small and medium business to their knees especially those that do not have access to other means of energy.
The recent outcry and complaints from members of the public and esteemed electricity consumers is triggered by the recent development where daily power generation in most part of Kaduna dropped to as low as two hours daily with some areas even spending days or weeks without seeing lights on their bulbs.
This development is coming few months after the Kaduna Electricity distribution company issued a notice to customers within the metropolis for an all-round maintenance check, which raised the hopes of the customers for a better power supply.
Some residents speak on the epileptic power supply experienced across the state.
Reacting to the situation, the Public Relations Officer, Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company, KAEDCO, Idris Muhammad described the situation as unpleasant and attributed the situation to the shortfall experienced by the generation company.
Idris Muhammad called on the public to live up to their obligation by paying the electricity bill with the understanding that the power sector is now a private sector.
