A non-governmental organization Alpha Care has distributed food items worth thousands of naira to over fifty needy widows, the less privileged in Kaduna South local government area.
The gesture was meant to alleviate the sufferings of the poor during the breaking of their fast.
Speaking, the National Coordinator of Alpha Care organization Muhammad Abubakar Apha said the objective of the gesture was to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged most especially in this trying moment occasioned by hard economic realities.
He said providing food for the needy is one of the teachings of the noble Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon) that should be emulated.
Abubakar Alpha noted that, many Muslims who fast think of what to eat or drink during breakfast in view of that the organization deem it feet to distribute the food items to the needy.
He said its Allah’s decree that some are going to be rich and some are going to be poor and that is why Islam encourages all the time that those who have should give those who are lacking.
In a remark, the guest speaker at the event, chief Imam of Waff Road kaduna Imam Muhammad Lawal Isah appealed to the wealthy and all the people of the state to cultivate the spirit of caring and sharing, especially during this auspicious period of Ramadan by assisting the poor and needy.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Hajiya Maimuna thanked the leadership of the organization and those who had contributed directly or indirectly for them.
